Annual Auction

SAM’s had its first annual auction in March of ’05. The Bids for Kids Art Auction was the first fundraising event for SAM’s Kids. The goal of the event was to raise enough money to cover the start-up costs and create a positive cash flow situation for SAM’s to move forward. The Targeted amount for the event was to cover these costs and end with between $2,000 and 3,000 in seed money. This money would allow us to move forward in a positive fashion.

Due to the tremendous generosity of those who sponsored the event, the numerous companies that donated goods or services keeping our costs low, and those who participated in the event it was a tremendous success. The event raised over $8,000 for SAM’s Kids and our target of between two and three thousand was easily achieved. We finished with over $5,000 in seed money, which allowed us to take a more aggressive jump towards our goals.

We would like to again thank those who assisted in such a wonderful start to our organization.

We would also like to thank the many companies who donated auction items and placed advertisements in our event book. Please visit our home page and notice all of the companies who have supported our organization. We also need to thank all of the wonderful people who volunteered for and participated in the event, and the many unexpected donations that came in during the time of the event. The generosity of everyone was amazing.

The Bids for Kids Auction will return next year. We hope that you will consider coming out and enjoying the event and bidding on the many goods and services that will be donated by local organizations and individuals.
